Salem's Adult Learning Groups are short-term groups where you can engage with others while studying God's Word and the Christian life through various types of studies. Come and connect with others while digging into scripture and being challenged to live more fully for Christ.

Sept. 21 - Nov. 23
What we believe to be true is one of the most important things about us. This class will spend 10 weeks learning about, discussing, and applying the foundational beliefs covered in the statement of faith of the EFCA, the denomination Salem is a part of. We will cover topics including the nature and character of God, humanity, Jesus, the Church, and many others in clear language. Focusing on what binds us together in unity as the people of Salem, and propelling us out to live lives changed by the beauty and power of God and his gospel everywhere we live, work, study, and play. Whether this will be your first time digging into these teachings or an opportunity to expand your understanding of things you have studied for years, we hope you will join us on this journey together.

Did you realize that God has wired you uniquely? You truly are in a seven-billion-way tie for his favorite child! He has also gifted you with different spiritual gifts, passions, abilitie, personalities and experiences to do what only you can do. We want to help you discover those and how God might want to use you for His glory on the road wherever you live, work, study and play. This class is for anyone who wants to discover more about who God made them to be or is at a pivot point in their life where they are trying to figure out what is next.

Registration is required for this course. Cost is $20/person. Materials include the Clifton Strengths inventory, a Spiritual Gifts assessment, and the Discover You class workbook.

Discerning and comprehending truth requires effort and at times can be difficult to navigate on your own. Our Veritas Workshop is an on-going group in which all of the participants join together in the diligent and rewarding work of identifying and understanding truth. Topics and studies vary throughout the year and the group is offered for both in-person and online. Participants are free to join at any point.

Acting as a short term life group, we will discuss life in Christ while hearing one another's stories and learning more about Cave, Table, and Road rhythms that we value at Salem.

J-Team is our adult learning group for teens and adults who have disabilities who wish to grow in their journey with Jesus. Join us for active learning, prayer time, music, and a whole lot of laughter and joy!
This is an ongoing group and participants are welcome to join anytime!

Discover the heart of biblical prayer through the rich and honest expressions found in the Book of Psalms. This class explores how the psalmists brought their joys, fears, doubts, and praises before God - and how we can do the same today. Each week the class will involve looking at a Psalm, sharing insights, and spending time in prayer.
