Mike Montgomery is in his fifth year here at Salem as the Adult Discipleship Pastor.  Mike’s friendly demeanor, sense of humor, and love for people are the hallmarks of his ministry. 

“Our ministry goal is to provide practical steps for developing maturity in Christ.”  Montgomery said, “Our Pathway Project is a prime example of this stepping stone mentality.”  The Pathway Project is a three year curriculum resource that addresses Bible content, Christian character, service opportunities and leadership skills.  Mike enjoys mentoring young men, many of his former mentees are in leadership positions in various Christian ministries around the Midwest.

Mike is married to his high school sweetheart and he and Joan have three grown children and three grandchildren.  His hobbies include golfing, watching sports (especially the Vikings) and a yearly fishing trip with his sons.
