There are a variety of Small Groups currently going on and new Small Groups starting throughout the year. A Small Group consists of eight to twelve people studying God’s Word and focusing on the five purposes above. Various Days of the Week
“ENCORE”
Encore Ministry, Salem’s ministry for active older adults, meets monthly for features and fellowship. Additional outings also occur. Dates and times are promoted in various ways, including: the Spirit newsletter, bulletins, emails and phone calls. “Movies with a Message”
Leader: Bruce and Peggy S.
Starting: January 14, 6:30 - 10 pm
Description:
Join Bruce and Peggy one night a month to watch movies in their “Popcorn Palace”. They have a big collection of movies that have great redeeming messages. Movies are followed by a short discussion time and fellowship. Samplings of movies which may be shown, include: Amish Grace, Blind Side, Chronicles of Narnia.., Fireproof, Hiding Place, etc…. Please contact the church office for more information on how to join this study at 701-237-6094. Seating is limited, sign up early to reserve a spot.

“The Truth Project”

Description:
The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
No childcare offered.

“Men’s Fraternity (Year 2): Authentic Manhood – Winning at Work & Home”

In Men’s Discipleship Group we all read the same portion of scripture each week. Wednesdays we get together to discuss what God is saying to us and how to apply it to our lives. We also hold one another accountable by asking great questions. The group is always open to take in new men. Description:
This will be a read through of Revelation with particular notice of the hymns of praise. Expect to see God’s Glory more fully bringing growth in wholehearted worship leading to loving obedience. There will also be the opportunity to peek into heaven. Expect to gain insight into what believers and unbelievers can expect in the future. Expect to be surprised with all Revelation has to offer. There will be time to share needs and joys leading to prayer. We will engage in one or two service/outreach opportunities. Leadership will be shared among those interested.

Attention, Moms! Here is an opportunity for you to become part of a Moms In Touch International church based group at Salem. We will pray for the children and all the schools represented in the group by each mom’s child. We know our children face much pressure at school and to “stand in the gap” through prayer is the best gift we can give to them. James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Includes 8 video sessions with 7weeks of print study.

Description:
Study various books of the Bible are studied throughout the year. Host family has children at home during the study. We usually study one book of the Bible at a time, utilizing a published study guide. We might get through two books (two separate studies) in an academic year.
