Care Team
The Salem Care Team is made up of deacons, the women’s care team network, and the Men of Action teams whose leadership is selected from the membership of Salem by the elders and/or pastoral staff with the assistance of care team leaders. The teams work with the elders to monitor the general well being of members and attenders, to identify pressing needs and to meet those needs.
Specific duties include: provide meals, help with moving, refer people to senior deacon and care team coordinators for help from deacons fund, encourage others through visits, notes, or phone calls, give support during bereavement and other caregiving needs. Service opportunities vary depending on the care needed by the people of Salem.
